Our mission
To Anticipate, Assist and Share
CORREF & COMPAGNIE was established to offer professional support to men and women in consecrated life, particularly those who belong to a religious institute that is vulnerable or in transition.
As a non-profit organization, CORREF & CIE is dedicated to assisting these institutes in discerning their path forward, planning for the future, and organizing their affairs — ensuring that each member is faithfully accompanied to the end of their journey, in full respect of their vocation and charism.
Our approach
Brother Jean-Pascal Lombart, Provincial of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit and a member of the CORREF board, shares in this video the reasons behind the establishment and mission of CORREF & CIE.
During the intial meeting with a religious institute, CORREF & CIE — acting as an objective and neutral third party — creates a space where members of an institute can freely express their questions, concerns, and difficulties. It then accompanies institutes by providing access to resources and professional expertise, including external support when needed.
This service is fully aligned with the mission of religious life itself: to care for the most vulnerable — including those within our own communities.
This interview with Brother Jean-Pascal Lombart, member of the CORREF board, took place during the CORREF & CIE board meeting on February 5, 2025.

Our mission
Sister Véronique Margron, President of CORREF & CIE, introduces the mission of the organization, which was created to support vulnerable religious institutes by providing assistance in governance, management, and human accompaniment.
In the face of declining membership and the challenges of aging, CORREF & CIE facilitates the pooling of resources and the involvement of professionals, enabling members of religious congregations to continue living their commitment fully — in safety and with peace of mind.
This interview with Sr. Véronique Margron was filmed in November 2024.

Theology of Closure
As Vice-President of CORREF and member of the CORREF & CIE board, Sister Anne Chapell is particularly qualified to speak about the spiritual support that CORREF & CIE offers: “CORREF & CIE is there to help give meaning to this experience, which is unprecedented” and contributes to a reflection on the “theology of closure” when a congregation reaches the end.

A testimony of the path taken by a congregation, with the support of CORREF and CIE
Faced with a lack of new vocations and a decline in their membership since the 1960s, the Sisters of Christian Education have been considering the future of their congregation for over twenty years.
After years of questioning and in the face of growing urgency, the creation of CORREF ET COMPAGNIE in 2024 finally provides them with the necessary legal framework and personalized support until the death of their last sister.
Sr. Anne Minguet shares with us this process, both administrative and spiritual, that her congregation is undertaking with CORREF & CIE.
